A high tide mark filled with cutlefish husks called for collection and circle making. This lasted about a week.

Some painted stones on the beach, lasted not even an hour.

I've been doing these things recently where I do a painting which usally takes 3 - 4 days, photographing every brush stoke (tedious) and then turn them into videos. The theory being that a painting is an experience rather than an object and I enjoy painting so much I'm happy to keep painting over them. No fixed state of completedness. They usally start and end white so that the video can be repeated.
